Split receipts faster with our new simple editor
Less tapping, easier dinner splits
You ordered a main, your friend ordered something else, and everyone shared the appetizers. Splitting the total equally doesn't quite work, but assigning every item shouldn't take longer than dinner.
Our new simple receipt editor puts your receipt items and friends in one grid. You can see who shared what at a glance and make changes without opening a separate editor for every item.
Choose who shared each item
Select the people included in the receipt, then tap their names next to the items they ordered. Each item is split equally between the people you choose.
A shared appetizer? Select everyone for that row. A dish just for you? Select only yourself. You can also select a person's column to include them across the receipt, which is handy when you're sharing everything.
The totals update as you go, so you can check everyone's share before saving. Items that still need people are highlighted, helping you catch anything you missed.
Simple when you need it, flexible when you don't
Simple mode is perfect for meals where each item is shared equally by the people who had it. If you need different percentages, shares, or exact amounts for an item, Advanced mode still gives you those controls.
You don't have to give up flexible splits to make everyday receipts easier.
Better receipt scanning, too
We've also improved how we read receipt items, totals, tax, and tip. That means less cleanup before you start choosing who shared each item.
You can still review and edit the details yourself. Change an item name or price, add a missing item, and check the tax and tip before saving. Your receipt photo gets you started; you're always in control of the final split.
How to try it
- Create an expense with a receipt, or open an existing itemized expense.
- Choose Simple in the receipt editor.
- Select the people sharing the bill and assign each item.
- Review the totals, then save.
