Explore the expenses behind your spending stats
See the story behind the total
Your spending chart shows where the money went. But sometimes you want more than a total: which purchases made up the grocery bill, or why did furniture cost so much this month?
We've made Stats easier to explore. Select a category to see the expenses behind it, with totals that follow your selection. You can go from the big picture to a specific purchase without leaving the page.

Select a category, see its expenses
Click a category in the chart or category breakdown, and the expense list below narrows down to match.
For a household group, choose Rent to review your rent payments, or Furniture to find the purchases for your shared living room. For a trip, choose Restaurant to look back at the meals you split together.
Open an expense from the list to check its amount, participants, and other details. It's much easier to understand a category total when the actual purchases are right there.
Totals that follow your selection
The summary totals update when you choose a category, so the numbers above and the expenses below reflect the same selection. You can review the amounts paid and owed within that category, along with the number of matching expenses.
We've also made the category breakdown more compact and easier to select. You can compare categories, inspect one in detail, then clear the selection to return to the wider view.

Focus on the costs that matter
Use the currency, date, and member filters to narrow your view further. Review one month of household bills, check a particular friend's share, or focus on costs in one currency during a trip.
The category selection works within that view, so you can explore the same set of expenses from different angles.
How to explore your stats
- Open a group or friend and choose Stats.
- Set the currency, date range, and members you want to view.
- Select a category in the chart or category breakdown.
- Scroll to the matching expenses and open any you want to review.
- Clear the category selection to see the full breakdown again.
Explore your spending stats and take a closer look at your next group trip or month of shared bills.
